Endel Talvik: Summary of Fatal Women in Greek Mythology
I will try to speak about fatal women in Greek Myths and will start with
Gorgons. For me they symbolize different aspects of female rage what can
petrify men. This rage protects girls (Athena, but young women in general)
from terrifying and unwanted sexual attack. Then I will look at Medeia and
Circe and their reasons to be “terrible” and will try to see how all those traits
are emerging in nowadays women by clinical examples.
